CENTRE NATIONAL DE SOUTIEN ELECTORAL
In 2017, Emmanuel Macron promised "faces, those of the real France, [...] the France of all faces, of all colours", launching into the legislative race a panel of candidates with varied professional backgrounds, socio-economic and geographical origins.
Five years later, while the new composition of the hemicycle consecrates a historic push of Marine Le Pen's National Rally and sees Emmanuel Macron lose the absolute majority, new faces appear. Profiles that reinforce the desire of some voters for diversity. As evidenced by the election of Rachel Keke, a Franco-Ivorian chambermaid who won in the 7th constituency of Val-de-Marne. Or that of the Franco-Tunisian diplomat Karim Ben Cheïkh in the 9th constituency of the French abroad.
